The lawyer Max Nosthoff-Hostmann has been on the team of the law firm Gercke Wollschläger since January 2020. He provides advice and acts as counsel for the defense in all areas of the commercial criminal law. His focus is on the law concerning fiscal offenses and the labor criminal law. In addition, he is co-author of the expert opinion for the reappraisal of sexualized violence in the Archdiocese Cologne.
Max Nosthoff-Horstmann studied law at the University of Cologne with focus on fiscal law. Already during his studies he gained first practical experience in the field of the fiscal law as a research assistant in an international large-scale law firm in Cologne and Dusseldorf. After his studies, Max Nosthoff-Horstmann worked as a research assistant in the criminal fiscal law department of the leading German fiscal law firm in Bonn and continued this work during his legal clerkship. Within the scope of his legal clerkship in the judicial district of the Higher Regional Court Cologne he completed, inter alia, stations in the department for criminal fiscal law at the prosecution in Cologne as well as at the tax office for criminal fiscal matters and tax investigation in Bonn (central office for the prevention of VAT fraud).
In tandem with his work, Max Nosthoff-Horstmann is doing a doctorate on a subject of criminal fiscal law under Professor Dr Dr h.c. Waßmer at the University of Cologne.
