12/2023 Criminal Law Committee of the German Federal Bar Association Our founding partner Prof. Dr. Björn Gercke has been appointed to the Criminal Law Committee of the German Federal Bar Association for a further four years. The committee, which was founded on May 27, 1947 under the name „Generalkommission zur Ausarbeitung neuer Entwürfe des Strafgesetzbuches und der Strafprozessordnung“, is – according to the formulation of the Federal Supreme Court (decision of November 7, 1960) – the permanent institution of the Federal Bar Association for dealing with all questions of criminal law and criminal procedure law, including the (then) major reform of both areas of work and professional law issues of the defense.
