The very existence of criminal investigation proceedings against their employees can be a very serious burden to a company. Preventive criminal law advice (“compliance”) aims at not allowing suspicion justifying the initiation of criminal proceedings to develop in the first place. In addition, a compliance system implemented in the company avoids the raising of the accusation of organizational fault that may be accompanied with consequences under liability and fine law for executives and the company itself. In case of the initiation of criminal proceedings such a system can help to minimize the consequences for the company, if possible.

The lawyers of our firm are able to identify risks in the company, prepare preventive guidelines (e.g., anti-corruption rules) and to second the establishment of the guidelines and other preventive measures in the company. Within the scope of a compliance system, we also assume the function of the ombudsperson for the receipt of information about rule-breaking in the company.
