Apart from the special fields becoming increasingly many in number, this particularly includes the charges of fraud (Sec 263 Criminal Code (StGB)) and embezzlement (Sec 266 StGB). These charges are still the basic types of economic crimes. While the offense of fraud often plays a role in connection with the purchase and sale and the settlement of goods and services as well as the raising of funds, the charge of embezzlement has developed into a gateway for criminal investigations into all kinds of entrepreneurial behavior.

Our lawyers have the wide practical experience and legal knowledge required to identify the “pitfalls” of the broadly worded criminal offenses in the context of business decisions and deal with them. They acted and act in numerous investigation proceedings on account of fraud and embezzlement charges including large-scale proceedings such as embezzlement investigations against employees of banks on account of high-risk transactions or investigation proceedings on account of fraud in connection with the so-called diesel complex.
